Angela Soper, writer of the award-winning documentary Courthouse Girls of Farmland

"Angela has written presentation material for me twice, and both times she was asked to meet very tight deadlines. She wrote quickly, succinctly and clearly in a manner that was both comfortable for me to present and easy for the audience to understand."

- Dr. Michael Nobel, Cofounder and Chairman, Nobel Charitable Trust, Asia

"Angela has written Web site text, product sheet copy, an animation video script and a video news report for me—all with very quick turnaround demands. The caliber of her writing as well as her attention to detail and creativity were a huge help in moving these projects forward successfully."

- Rasvir Mustan, 7strategy—web solutions that fit

"Angela is one of my favorite film producers. As an editor, I have worked on two documentaries with her, and she stays right on top of things. She has keen insight into the many details others often miss, plus she gets the job done with the least amount of pain on my end. I would gladly work with her anytime because she is a pleasure to work with."

- Larry Beauregard, Larry Beauregard Productions

"I've contracted Angela Soper as a freelance writer for a number of publications. Her ability to grasp the concept and write for the audience makes my job as an editor very easy. I also appreciate that Angela seeks out professional sources to add credibility and depth to her articles. The fact that she is consistently on time with her pieces is icing on the cake!"

- Erin Casey
- Editor, Success for Women

"Angela is the best. I can say that because she's not only a talented writer, but also one of my best friends. Can't mix friendship and work? Nonsense. When I have material that requires the emotion and word crafting I know she can supply, or when I need help running a convention smoothly, she is the person I call. While Angela is writer 'extraordinaire,' her greatest gift is listening. Because of that gift, she can craft your message or a corporate message into your voice—or the voice of the organization you serve—spot-on, every time!"

"I've worked with Angela on various web projects, and she has proven to be very professional, hard-working, and best of all - funny, even in the midst of stress. Her e-mails are clean and easy to read (you wouldn't believe how many clients of mine don't even use proper grammar and punctuation), and she always goes out of her way to get me whatever I need for the project. I've enjoyed working with her, for search engine optimization and other web-writing."

10 Simples Ways to be Sane and Productive

Angela E. Soper

Word Wrangler, the Rangewriter Co.
Because Words Matter

Life is a wonderful adventure, but it can be difficult, downright challenging at times. Stressing over how your material is written shouldn’t be one of your worries.

Angela Soper is a writer and filmmaker who believes great stories are everywhere. In a company’s culture and product line, in the everyday stories revolving around the human spirit, even in how you present yourself before an audience.

If you have a story to tell, Angela can write it. With creativity, with style, and always, always … on deadline. Yeah, she’s won awards for her work, but what’s most important to her is telling your story so it gets your message across in your voice.

Whether it’s print material—books, magazine articles, brochures, catalog snippets, you name it—to Web site text, videos, commercials, films, audio presentations, even speeches, Angela can make your project and you look and sound great.

Angela's Bio

Writing all sorts of material, making movies, helping to pull off successful conventions—they’re all part of what Angela does on a regular basis as a freelance writer, filmmaker, and media consultant. To her, ordinary is, well … ordinary. She likes to find innovative ways to tell the world’s stories.

Sometimes that means creating a certain dramatic emotion or, when it suits the project, making people smile. For example, take a look at the business card she created with the help of her graphic designer friend, Michelle Shuttleworth.

If you want the official, professional-sounding bio: Angela has over 20 years’ experience as an on-air host, writer, and producer in print, radio, television and film. Her work has won numerous awards in the industrial film industry. She has written for Pax Television, The Washington Post, People magazine, The Salt Lake Tribune and is a frequent contributor to Park City Magazine and Texas-based VideoPlus publications. She writes a wide variety of material for corporations located throughout the United States including videos, copy for brochures, Web sites and catalogs, and speeches for corporate executives.

She co-produced and co-wrote the documentary, Courthouse Girls of Farmland, winner of the First Place Audience Award at the 2008 Breckenridge Festival of Film and Audience Choice Award, Best Documentary at the 2009 SENE Film, Music & Arts Festival in Providence, RI. The film has been an official selection of several film festivals throughout the United States as well as in Australia and Canada. She is the co-author of Values Sell: Transforming Purpose into Profit Through Creative Sales and Distribution Strategies (Berrett-Koehler Publishers, San Francisco), a book about socially responsible business practices written for Social Venture Network.

Prior to striking out on her own Angela served for nine years as Creative Director/Screenwriter for the Visual Productions Department of Nu Skin Enterprises in Provo, Utah. She has interviewed several well known individuals including former Vice President Dan Quayle, singer Harry Chapin, and actor Hal Holbrook. She has also written material for celebrities Sir Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt, Dick Clark, actor Robert Urich and former Chrysler chairman Lee Iacocca.
